Maniacs Down Metros

Spencer Compton scored twice as the Eastern Maniacs downed the Sherwood Metros 5-2 on Wednesday night at Cody Banks Arena.
 
Alex Gallant (1-1), Blake Jamieson (1-1), and Nathan Cahill rounded out the scoring for the Maniacs, with Cale Pierce scoring both goals for the Metros.
 
The shots were 32-28 for the Maniacs, with Noah Laybolt taking the goaltending win.
 
The two teams will meet again Sunday in Souris at 7pm in their season opener.
