The Holland College Hurricanes are set to make The Plex at Slemon Park, Summerside their home this Saturday night in an IJHL regular season home game versus the Arsenault's Fish Mart Red Wings. Puck drop is 8:25 pm.
The Hurricanes have struggled as of late, losing their last six games as they sit in fourth with a 3-8-2 record lead the Red Wings (3-7-1) by a single point in the standings. The season series between the two teams is tied 1-1.
Head coach Ryan Maxwell is looking to get back into the win column; "After coming off a tough loss to Kensington we are looking to bounce back and have a good game against the Red Wings. They are a talented team and we will need to have our best effort. Consistency has been an issue so far this season but when we play a full sixty minutes we are a really tough team to beat. We will continue to work hard and be ready to go in Slemon Park on Saturday".
Rookie forward Curtis Martell has had a strong start to the season since being traded to the Hurricanes from the Montague Maniacs. The first year Sport & Leisure Management student from Belfast has 14 points through 13 games and sits in fifth in rookie scoring in the IJHL.
"We're looking forward to the game; it's a chance to bounce back in the win column".
