The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers will be busy at Community Gardens this weekend. On Saturday the Vipers host the Eastern Maniacs at 7:30pm and then on Sunday they host arch rival Western Red Wings at 7pm.
After Wednesday nights thrilling OT win in Sherwood the Vipers now sit seven points in front of the Red Wings for first place and with four regular season games left there magic number to clinch is now two.
The Maniacs have made a coaching change and will be looking to set the tone for a possible first round matchup. The Vipers and Maniacs play each other three more times in the next two weeks.
The Wings come to town riding a two-game winning streak and will want to continue their good play heading towards playoffs. This is arguably the best rivalry in Island Hockey and this point in the season fans can expect an entertaining game.
