The IJHL will hold an All-Star Game on Sunday afternoon in Evangeline as a fundraiser for a former league player, Cody Arsenault, who is travelling back and forth to Halifax for treatments for a rare form of leukemia. Game time will be 1pm at the Evangeline Rec Centre.
Cody played for the Arsenault's Fish Mart Red Wings and Charlottetown Abbies during his career in the IJHL. He is part of a family who loves hockey, which includes his brother Logan, who's on the current Red Wings' squad.
The All-Star Game will feature a team of 2013-14 All-Stars facing off against a team of IJHL Alumni players.
Rosters are being finalized, but some likely players on the Alumni team are Matt Arsenault, Jackie Ray Bernard, Pat LeFrank, Travis Willis, Ben Clark, Brent Coade, Kyle Reardon, Alex Smith, Tyler Doucette, Colin Webster, and Adam Constable.
Some names from the All-Star Team include, Jeremy Balderston, Matt Kelly, Dylan McQuaid, Geoff Gaudet, Chris Gallant, Jonny Richards, Nick MacDonald, Patrick Cummiskey, Curtis Hall, Brandon Gaudet, Matt Cox, Matt Myers, Damon MacDonald, Trevor MacKinnon, Brady Cook, Brandon Birt, and Harrison Nicholson.
